I have been looking into weather stations, and Les' recent post about his got me thinking... what do you guys use, and what are you wishing you had that you don't? What options are important, and why?

I use an old Computec one, but for DA only. It worked well when we use to run racing gas, but with methonal, we dont see the big swings like we did on gas. It is no where near the quaility to predict that they have now. I would look up Crew Cheif if I were to buy a new one. Don knows his stuff. http://www.crew-chief.com/

Crew Chief Pro, good stuff Idea

I use a Davis Instrument Perception II

However the humidity will go haywire at night when the dew settles. Here lately I've been using another digital gage mounted in the trailer for Humidity and temperature readings.

I've been usuing the Altronics Performaire and, I like it pretty well.
I'm thinking about upgrdaing to the trailer mount deal with the pager....$$$$. I usually race by myself and, sometimes if you get stuck in the lanes due to an oil-down, the air can change pretty quick in a short amount of time. (Especially when going from dusk to dark.)

I've heard good things about the Crew Cheif Pro as well...which is compatible with the weather center. My .02

Just to update what I use:
Kestrel 2500

Link to Google search for pricing

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=+Kestral+Weather+station&btnG=Google+Search

I made a Excel Spread sheet to add your information to. It brakes down the track

60 - 330ft
330 - 660ft
660 - 1000ft
1000 - 1320ft

If ya have the Microsoft Excel program I could send you the sheet.

Since I went to VP M5 methanol I leave my Radio Shack redneck weather station in the toolbox........... Very Happy

Have been racing and had some wild weather swings and the car just keeps on repeating.
