Install Roll Bar Padding
Thanks to Jon and Dave for their participation in checking out the SFI 45.1 roll
bar padding that I have for sale.
I've been working hard getting my dragster together... we're getting there, slowly
but surely. I've gotton to the point of installing the roll bar padding and I have
a couple of tips:
1.) Make sure it's warmed up, especially in tight bends. It will be easier to work
with and will not tear ( personal experience ).
2.) I'm going to attach it with cable ties. 1 on each end and about every 4" - 6".
I don't think the PSA tape will work, especially for the bends in my cage.
However, I think it would work on straight sections of a cage.
3.) It will take a 10" cable tie to get around the bars comfortably.
I hope this helps, I quess I can say it's been installed in the "real world" and it
looks great!
If anyone has any questions, pm or call (270) 926-8112 wk.

Re: Install Roll Bar Padding
When i put the jaz padding in my car i used 100% door and window silicone to glue the velcro to the pad and the bar and a few tie straps to hold it just for a day then i took them off and it works good its been on there for over 2 years now even on the tight bend around the halo.
