TIMESLIPS....................
First outing w new bullet, plain alky and no green oil, 100" rollout tire, 4.29 gear, 3025#s was drug to the scales returning from the pass to the trailer. Traction issues were evident, fuel pump was taking a dump.
looks like the last slip was cut off, it was a 9.08 were it blew the tires off and I pedaled it.
left slip was the last run.

2nd outing w new bullet, 1st KOV race, run heads up with a 5.30 cap, no scoreboards or timeslips from other cars.
these are the timeshots, new Hoosier slicks w 97.5 rollout, 4.29 gear, green oil and M5, pulled 18#'s out of the car.
times are in wrong order again lol.

Re: TIMESLIPS....................
Made some nozzel and gearing changes for the next KOV race, TVRP is at 1100" elevation, scales are accurate car is still lacking ET due to the poor short times.
If anyone thinks this race was fabricated just ask Dee Stevens she was there................and at 5'10" I don not qualify as a midget...........and since this is a tech section keep all BS out of my thread.....

Re: TIMESLIPS....................
The first 3 1/4 mile slips 3025# with me in it, the last 6 with 18#s less.
This is an old school mustang not a pop can foxbody, it has a glass hood.............but its a style used with hood hinges and factory latches and weighs 40#'s including the scoop, only other glass in the front and rear bumpers. Has Lexan all around and alum dash, the floor is all steel except for a small bit in the trunk. A460 block, struts are old AJE steel units, has carpet, door panels etc, steel wheel tubs, frame connectors are .250 thick 2" x 2" and weight 30#'s a piece. stock front framerails, firewall is steel, cage is ms and has x bars in the doors, and an extra x going into the rear framerails..................you get the idea

Re: TIMESLIPS....................
good numbers fobio,i dont question them at all.your car will be a handfull to get the 60'better.it's the nose heavy mustang layout that'll make it tuff.with the engine in the stock location it's hard to get enough weight on the back tires without too much frontend lift.you do have enough tire, just take a lota tunen, you'll sneak up on it.

Re: TIMESLIPS....................
It was scaled a few years back after I did the front end.
This thread was started to prove that my claims are true as there are a few that have their doubts.
And honestly I'm not satisfied with the results, I will continue to tune the engine this season, but I have another project in the works as far as chassis is concerned.

You need to knock about a tenth off the 60', then you will be in high cotton.

I don't think that engine is going to fit in the Jr. Dragster, no matter how hard you try.

Re: TIMESLIPS....................
Hey I have been there as far as you getting your car to fly. I never had a dought, if people don't believe it then they can sh!t and fall back in it. Me and Mike Whitefield came to the fact you would see some 5.40's atleast on the new setup at NMRA last fall. I am curious as to how your car scaled with the glass parts you have on it. Did it help you out or was it just to shave weight over all.
Justin Burchman taught me a lot on setting the new stuff up. And I learned that if you strive hard you will be rewarded.

Re: TIMESLIPS....................
Honestly the car works pretty good, I think the tall gear (4.29) combined with the 1.80 pg and 3000#'s is why the 60' is low, there is still a hint of wheelspin, but overall I have a good handle on it.
The old motor with injection, M5, and a mineshaft air night ran a best of a 5.60 at 122 with a 1.26, it had the 4.86 gear in at the time with the 100" rollout tires., and never repeated the same numbers again period.
The 4.57 gear is in the car now, like said it will be run again a week from tomorrow at the KOV race.
There is only one real doubter, and his beef is this car cant possibly be 3000# w driver. I'll put a cash money bet up if he cares to challenge the claim, my other bathroom can use a remodel so I hope he takes me up on it................

Looking good Fabio. Are the tires new or do you just need to tweak the chassis a bit for the new power?

Re: TIMESLIPS....................
air was pretty bad, barometer was in the shitter.......not sure if it was the air or it dont like the gear swap, did manage a 1.26 60' and a 5.48 @ 126........was down a bit on mph. The shorter gear spinns the pump faster and made the egt's a good bit cooler, played w the highspeed and main pill, ended up throwing more full at it down low and it seemed to lie that. Last run it fell back off to a 5.52 but it was a handfull all the way down the track...........I need to go download the datalogger and look at the tack as I bet its gonna be all lover the place lol.
John the tires were new at the last race, last nights puts 11 runs on them.
