New Discovery!!!
Cleaning the underside of the car is alway's one job I hate!! Varsol doesn't work to great , pressure washing won't touch exhaust stains or VHT , tryed Acetone with not great results , Autobody Gun Wash is the greatest shit going!!! first pic is the lower half of the wheel tube with the bottom half done in 1 minute and you can see the upper that hasn't been done , cleaned the underside of the car in an hour!!! Frank
and the wheel tubs were painted 17 years ago when I first built this car!!

Heck a good hose and water are all I need to clean mine when I'm done racing, but it sure takes a lot of water.

Re: New Discovery!!!
Great tip Frank,
I will have to try that on some portions of the '58s belly. No way that I can show pictures of the bottom of mine....
It had been a street/race car until about 1986 when I back-halved it, but has never had a full nice paint job on the belly. Lots of factory gunk still under there.
I bet I have 30 or 40# of nasty lurking under the old car. Your pictures may be my incentive to make it pretty.
Thanks,
Keith
