Good day at the races

Went to the track today and first pass ran a career best of 10:521 @125+ mph slipping a little off the line. Was able to go three rounds until the car stumbled off the line and and was .2 off the dial. My sister and brother-in-law won the 50-50 which was $760 and I went farther then I've ever been so all in all not a bad day. The car has 10.4's in this warm weather if I can just get the bugs out. Not bad for a crate engine 460. I want the chebby boys to do that with a 454 crate! Car also had the best 60' at 1.425 today so I'm pleased. Just got to change shifters and find out why it stumbled. Happy Labor Day gang! Time for some pulled pork and homemade ice cream!

Good deal Mel that things really gettin there man just a few months ago you were hoping to break into the tens now your deep in the 10s with more tuning left yet and way to go on the 3 rounds

I ran the best of 60' 1/8 ET and MPH yesterday but couldn't put it all together in one round. Second round of elim. the tranny didn't go into second and so I went to third and still ran a 10.56. I don't know Bryan next year I might have to get the license with you. A new Lem Evans special and lighten up a bit who knows, high nines could happen!

Great job Mel. Just think, a few months ago you were trying to figure out how to get in the tens and now you are running 10.50s.

Hey Joe I'll be giving you a call before to long about a new shifter. Gotta get some money saved up. If my wife knew what I was spending she would kill me.
