408w stroker questions
I bought a 408 stroker kit a few years ago and Im getting ready to start getting stuff to the machine shop, The rotating assemble is external balanced and need to know what ring gear to get as well as what balancer can be used ? Im buiding a roller block but I have a complete 1971 351w I can use for parts if there are any I could use for the 408w. I'm mainly asking for rotating assembly infomation. I know this isnt a small block forum but I trust ya'll and dont know anyone on the other forums.
Thanks

Re: 408w stroker questions
Let the guy who's doing the balancing decide what is the best for your application and what will be the closest balance units to be used.
Sometimes a "0" balance dampner with a 28 in. oz. flywheel or, a 28 In. oz. dampner with a 50 in. oz. flywheel will get the job done best besides the regularly used a "0" or 28 or 50 on both ends. (Don't use a 50 in. oz. dampner on the front snout).
Whatever you do ... use a FACTORY PRODUCTION counter-weighted front and rear if external.
