Transbrake doesn't work
So here's the deal; after my converter took a dump and I ordered a new one I figured I'd have the tranny freshened while it was out. Which was a good decision cuz the front pump was chewed all to hell and the high gear clutches were burnt up. Last week got all my parts in and put it back together. Everything works PRN21, but when I put the car in low gear and set the brake its still just in low gear. WTF!!! I've had it out three times now and my tranny guy swears there's nothing wrong with the valve body or the solenoid itself. Shifter adjustment is perfect, solenoid plunges nicely it just won't set. Tranny guy says to pull it out again and he will make it right, but dang this is getting old.
On a side note I set my own personnal record for pulling the tranny and putting it back in yesterday; 24 minutes getting it out and 52 putting it back in and running......

Yes it works. I pulled it out of the tranny and plugged it back into the car, and it works good.

Probably a stupid question but, did you check the band adjustments?

Ok, so I've been checking everything with the car still on jack stands. After work today I put the car back on the ground to try it with a load. All gears work great except reverse. It's very soft and a little jerky at times. Talked with my tranny guy and he says he may have cut an o-ring while putting it back together. So.....it's coming back out again!!!!

Well maybe.....bought a new valve body and another case. Apparently the case I had was drilled for a brake already but a pro brake. Just one extra hole but I had another case laying around so we drilled it for the bracket brake. It'll be done today and at the race track tomorrow.....come hell or high water!!! Nothing money won't fix!!
