I need a new starter....

I need a new starter that can turn a ~12.5:1 compression 503 without to much strain. My old starter bit the dust, or at least I am praying the starter bit the dust . I can turn the engine over with a breaker bar easily enough and I have a good charge on the battery, but the engine barely kicks over.

What is a reasonable starter without spending a fortune?

Factory Ford Mini, Early-Mid 90's Ford Trucks.

I thought I had read there is a good oem style before, but could not remember what one. Thanks.

1995 F-250 460 CID with an automatic trans is the one to get.

I bought three of the summit mini starters one for my car (460) and one for my rv (454) and they seem fine plus they cost about what the factory mini unit cost 180 i believe and the fact that they have 18 diffrent positions made it nice.

This is what I am running. So far so good. Spins a 13.5-1 600 inch engine pretty easily.

Here's my buddy's starter for sale. Its the same thing a I use on the dragsters.
