9" Axle , Bearing Fit
Now that the trans brake is workin, starting to have problems with the axle slipping out of the bearing. It moved approx. 1/4" after the first pass Saturday nite. I'm measuring .001" interference fit between the axle bearing surface and the inner race. Same for the lock ring. This would seem typical for a 1.532" shaft. HOWEVER, with the axle moving, it apparently aint enough.

Re: 9" Axle , Bearing Fit
I've bumped Moser Eng. about what they would like to see. Hopefully, they'll respond back.

OK, Moser Technical Group says .0025" -> .003" interference fit. The bearings they would furnish come from NAPA, 88128 R.

if you heat (hot)the retainer for a drop on , it will be tighter than a press fit

Re: 9" Axle , Bearing Fit
Here's the scoop: the bearing fit is supposed to be .001" interference fit, per my local SKF rep. Any tighter will likely take up all internal clearance in the bearing, and lead to failure. The lock ring should have .0025 -> .003" interference fit. Wouldnt hurt to use alittle loc-tite on it either, along with the bearing. There's not quite enough room to install another lock ring, and clear the internal housing seal.
Hopefully end of problem.
Moral of story - buy a quality bearing.
