Wheelie58 is tearing them up
Retirement must agree with him. Keith Fulp is tearing them up. Another win this weekend at the NHRA Unleashed event in Tulsa.
Sent me this pic last night.

Re: Wheelie58 is tearing them up
Thanks guys,
The old 58 did a good job. Even with 4,000 ft air and 101 degree temps the old car still ran 9.50s at 144+.
At this race, I had a secret weapon, Kerry Clark and his son!
They came to visit, all the way from Arkansas and I put them to work.
It takes a lot to fuel, cool, log, analyze, strategize, adjust and get back to the lanes especially when it is hot!
They were a great help. I will post some pictures soon. Driving through desolate parts of Arkansas right now.
Thanks
Keith

Good Job
Keith,
The pleasure was all ours. Great job of driving my friend. I'm so glad I was there to enjoy your victory. Hope we can do it again soon. I guess the next time I tell someone in the pits you'll be hoisting a Wally by 8 o'clock they better listen.
Thanks again for letting me help
Kerry and Joe

Congrats on another Wally!
The Kentucky border patrol confiscated my passport, so they surely can't toss me out.
Thanks!
Re: Wheelie58 is tearing them up
Thanks again for all of the nice notes. The old 58 and I just pulled in to home from the Tulsa trip. 1,675 miles!
I stayed just west of Atlanta last night so I could visit Precision Race Cars and have a new radiator fabricated for the 58. The PRC guys made one to my specs while I waited. We even custom fit it to the car.
The only major problem on the trip was a trailer tire that I changed at the Alabama/Georgia border. It was consistenly 15-20 degress hotter than the others, and upon closer inspection, it was separating...and getting ready to blow.
Thanks!
Keith

It looks like I will not go. I e-mailed a simple tech question to NHRA, and during one of his replies, an official told me that cars like mine are not welcome at the HRR. It is a real long story...that is not over yet. I will not go into it in any more detail right now.
He said that the HRR was not for serious racers, and was just for guys that only raced a couple times a year to "re live their glory days".
Of course, we all know that this is ridiculous.
So...I need to just let this one lay for a while.
If I piss this guy off any more, I could be assured of having tech and chassis cert problems in the future.
Thanks
Keith
Re: Wheelie58 is tearing them up
Thats a shame Keith, and imo its also BS. People love too see cars like yours. That is SOSO BS,makes me not even want to give them my support.

Re: Wheelie58 is tearing them up
Apparently, this NHRA official forgot who the customer is. I have several tracks much closer that appreciate my business.

Re: Wheelie58 is tearing them up
I personally can only hope that the ADRL gets enough support from the regular racer to bring the NHRA to understand where they came from ... it seems that they care ONLY about the Pro classes for television.
