New to forum
I am from Idaho Falls Idaho, it has been about 5 yrs since I had to close my shop and retire due to heart problems. Before my health problems I picked up an ugly green 68 Galaxie with a flood filled 390, which I immediately pulled and replaced with a 460 compliments of a 1978 Lincoln demolition derby car. All I have done to the car so far is put 4.10:1 gears in the 9" posi the Lincoln had. I also bolted on a 650 AFB carb I had laying around.
Well it is time to start building Shrek now, and I could use all the advise I can get to build some muscle on the cheap as I no longer have the resources I used to have. I have read many posts here and it seems like there are some top shelf "Motor Heads" here, I hope to get to know some of you and utilize your knowledge and expertise.
Thanks,
Ed

Re: New to forum
I appreciate the welcome. Working on getting exhaust and windshield in Shrek this next couple weeks, I want to get in on the road at least. Then I will start on building a stroker motor to replace the stock Lincoln transplant. Maybe by next summer I can drop some real HP under the hood, it is pretty funny that even with the stock 460 and some gears Shrek still turns some heads. LOL I know Shrek isn't fast now, but impressive for a 4000lb boat with an old derby motor.
