Cometics need to be retorqued?

I have fired the 598 and warmed it a couple heat cycles..Do I need to retorque the Cometic head gaskets? Its a a460 block,c- head 18 bolt deal...Thanks Brian

Optional.......but it's always better to.

I never have on all the ones I have used them on, they did get "cycled" a few times during assy though.

I checked mine after the 3rd season. None if them moved during torque check. Solid as a rock.

if they were copper i'd say yes.lol. i alredy went back over mine and will again soon. the 18 bolt deal should realy be a big help too.
