Re: Fuel Line ?
I ran 1/2 aluminum line on my mud truck for 5 years and never had an issues just use flex lines between the pump/tank and where it mounts to the chassis, and also from the chassis to the engine.

X2 its cheaper, lasts longer, lighter, and flows better than braided.lghting94 wrote:I ran 1/2 aluminum line on my mud truck for 5 years and never had an issues just use flex lines between the pump/tank and where it mounts to the chassis, and also from the chassis to the engine.

Like the others say....
I had this setup on the '58 for several years, 1/2" aluminum line, and used bulkhead fittings with welded frame tabs on both ends to support where it changed to AN for flex connections. Just make sure it is well supported with cushioned "P"-clamps and that nothing touches it (that moves). It will not tolerate abrasion and flexing will eventually kill it (the tubing).
In my opinion, with gas and carb, it is not a bad deal. Just price all of the fittings in advance to see the real value of the deal.
Have fun...

I've been running aluminum 1/2" line for the last 15 years without any issues. I run short lengths of braided line at each end and use good clamps all the way along the line.
