Question for the mudders

what distributer works best in a mud bogger that always gets wet? I am tired of the factory distributer poping banging and farting every time it gets wet.

I would use the factory distributor but water proof it. use silicone sealant between the dizzy and adaptor, silicone dieelectic grease between the adapter and cap, and finally go the the closest junk yard and get a distributor cover for an 80's model lincoln or 5.0 mustang.

I've been running my MSD dizzy with the small cap, just as it came from MSD with no issues. I've even pulled my hood to give the engine a quick wash down between rounds with no issues.

msd 6al box to a stock distributor, and use the rubber cover off a mustang on it, never got wet yet, and you need to water proof your engine compartment... I race mud truck and never get the dist wet...
