Video of my truck running.
I don't know how to transfer video's or pics. from my new camera to the computer and net. yet, but here is a video of my truck running at a dirt drag on August 15th that some one put on youtube, mine is the first race, and I am the ugly grey 1977 in the far lane.
When you see the name Jason pop up, that is who I am running in the nice looking truck, so whoever put the video up knows him.

David,
Looks like lovelaceville, ky to me. Sure wish I'd known you were going to be there. We raced there earlier in the year with CMRA. Hooked great.

Re: Video of my truck running.
I can't speak for all dirt drags, but these guys make a great track, it is deep and loose, there is plenty problems getting hooked. You can see in the video that I was not running the straightest line.
I ran the mud for over ten years and just got burned out on the cleaning, I used tricks such as undercoating the truck with a oil/diesel solution and it still got old, now after a race I can rinse the dust off or put her up dusty.
I also went and tried sand drags once, that was cool.

It was, there was over 500 people at the event, wish you and April had of been there. The next one is Saturday, I will probably be working, but I plan on making everyone I can in the future.
Take care

Let me know if you decide to miss work. We'll most likely head there after wickliffe anyway.

I would like to be, but the funds and storage room limits me to one hobby.

If they let me off work I'll be there, but that is doubtful. Post your results.

Man that looks like a blast, I wanna try it. That run looked good David. What length track do you usually set up on a deal like this?

Schmitty,
Yes; a class deal. A bunch of years ago they tried the dial-ins for 1 race. Don't want to do that ever again on the dirt.

Like simpleman said, it is 300 foot, I am set up for 125-150 for the mud, I pull hard for about 175-200 and then go flat, I am geared to low at the time. I also have a vacuum limited cam that I run in the mud in street stock class (15 inches at 1000 rpm), now that sounds small and it is for this racing, but I have done my home work and get the most out of what I can run, I will give credit where it is do, I was almost there (and ran great) and I talked to Blake, and he put me where I wanted to be.
I wish you were closer, you would love this, you can let the ole truck stretch its legs.
Next year I will be dirt only, I will make gear and cam changes. I would like to do a total new build, but due to job changes I can't.

Damon,
Have you run the dirt?
I would love to hear about it, and maybe some videos.

Sorry for late responses guys, I am working second shift for a while, but just glad to have my current job for now. I appreciate the responses, I know it is not an asphalt rig.

They don't have the timing devices like they did years ago, this is a new owner, we hope he can have some next year. I kept meaning to look down at my speedometer but kept forgetting.
The sand was a little slower.
