Helmet requirements

At what point do you need to have a helmet? I know in slower cars it is not needed but they must have moved the speed limit from what it was the last time I raced. I was at Dragway 42 last weekend and Summit Racing Motorsport Park this weekend and man no body was wearing a helmet. Two or three people in the car during a pass. Now this weekend at SRMP it was a street rod event so I could see some slacking as most of those cars were 14 seconds or slower but last weekend I even seen a 4 door with a kids head bobbing around in the back window.

anything faster than 8.50 at our local 1/8 track.you can run 5.40's without a window net tho!

when my son i went down the track in the truck we both wore helments ...... safety is first

my home track( I'm the Tech director there) requires everyone to were a legal helmet even my 16 second pickup
