Don't hit Rich during your burnout and everything will be cool.

It would improve the show if you did hit him, though...

Re: Heading out to Pinks
My Pinks All Out Experience.
I’d like to start off with I had fun! It was cool meeting other racers from all over the country and England. The guy to the left of me was from England. He transported his Turbo VW last winter just for this show.
All he brought with him was car and trailer that’s about it. I shared my battery charger & air compressor with him. A guy named Tim pitted a crossed from me. He had a Mustang with a SB Ford. His car ran really good. Tim was talking with me when we set up our BBQ grill for dinner. I asked him what he was going to eat. He said that his wife forgot to load the cooler with the hot links. I told him and just wife to come join us. He had chips and beer to share so it was a party in the making.
Pitted right of me was young man and his Dad. They had a Dodge pick-up truck. I chatted with them. They were from Nevada. While I was talking with them, they were checking altitude with the expensive meter. I asked them what they had as far as altitude. They said 2600 feet. I got my meter out because I know what they had wasn’t right. I showed them what mine had uncorrected and they were able to fix there meter. Looks like the programs for the meter were not for this track.
As far as family.. I had all the kids and some of their friends come to watch me. Both days the outside temp was 102 degrees plus with 20% humidity. They were the real race fans.
I did get a chance to meet a couple of my Ford friend on You Tube. It’s one thing to chat with a person you never met, but once ya meet them it’s so cool. I enjoyed talking car builds with them. One of the guys is building a slammed Fairmont like Gliddens old car.
I’m not sure if I’d do it again.. maybe?

I did and funny as it might sound.. Yep I got the nose of the car looking at the west bleachers.. Lol.. Good thing for Rich it was a Test session. Still ran 130 mph like that.. I'll put up some video's once my over temped body recovers.

Using a Kestrel 2500. There are better Kestrel's out there. At the time I wanted to buy, the price was over $200 for this unit. I just didn't have the $. A few months later I checked back and it was on sale for $125. So I figured I'd get it.
Thanks for asking!

Does this model correct for altitude, or does it show the actual altitude?

Re: Heading out to Pinks
Ok Greg..
Our track runs the Nostalgia cars. The owners are hell bent on keeping the track in the 70's era & below.
With that said the choice of the 32 cars were 1969 and below.
That's all I'm gonna say about that.. I had a bunch of fun hanging out with ppl I'd of never met otherwise.
Of the 500 or so entries only 330 showed. Of the 330 on Friday 50 cars broke. I added to the list on Saturday with a failed battery in the burn out box..
Ahhh such as life soo close.. only if I would of built a 65 Comet...
