Went to my first side by side mud drag race tonight. It was the Outlaw Pro Stock Nationals in Washington, MO. It was in my back yard so I had to go. These guys were pretty serious. Only 2 Fords there in the Pro Stock Class. One was a 604 with Thor heads. Pretty nice piece but he had problems and went out first round. Lots of Mark Williams rear end housings and other trick stuff. I was pretty impressed with the quality of some of the rides. There were trucks there from Texas, Michigan, Georgia, and Wisconsin. I guess if we don't get a drag strip around here soon I might have something new to try out. Very Happy

Was the Thor headed deal a white old bronco looking deal?
I just checked the results and seen it was Don Huntley with the orange ranger.
Don has a sweet ride.

We're just as serious, if not more so, than you asphalt guys. That 2nd gear flair was really prevalent at the Bash, did you get it figured out?

Yeah there was definitely some bucks spent on these rides. The Thor headed deal was an orange ranger. Nice truck. My 7 year old asked if it was all fiberglass. He said it was carbon fiber and fiberglass. I tightened the band up on the trans some more. I had it at 1 1/8 turns out. Frank said I could go to 3/4 turns with this valve body. I haven't been to a track since. Probably won't make it out until Sept. 10th. I think I'll spring for one of Frank's brakes this winter if funds allow. Might go thru the trans again to to make sure nothing is wrong. It doesn't have that many passes on it. It used to flair in 3rd. Finally fixed that but now 2nd sucks.

You'll never regret getting one of Frank's brakes. Mine has worked flawlessly for several years now. Seems to fix a lot of issues

SERIOUS...? I thought you were all a bunch of happy go lucky jokesters, at least on the outside ... OH, you probably mean a different kind of serious, lol.
