S/ST Win Saturday Night for the KFM '58 Ford

I decided to go down to Silver Dollar Raceway for one of their Super Street Series races yesterday. To get ready for the O'Reilly Nationals in Charlotte (Zmax) next week I reinstalled the throttle stop, timer and delay box and pulled all of the ballast out (used for the 9.50 and 10.0 Index class...)
I figured the race would be a good tune-up for Charlotte since I have not raced with a throttle stop since the Chicago event.
The trip paid off with a win! Most of the cars in the class were running 10.90 at 128 to 134 MPH. The 605 A-Head '58 Ford Custom was in the 142 to 144 MPH range at 10.90 (while carrying an addtional 800 lbs over the 2800 lb limit). It was fun turning the Chevies around at the stripe. One guy commented that he thought a freight train flew past him. Ok bragging is done. Here is a Winners Circle picture with all of my friends.

I think there are many guys on this forum that like this oil..maybe a BBF speed secret, along with shaft rockers and alky injection. ....(Sorry Lem...an evil monster on my shoulder told me to do that.)

I guess you were a chevy killer that is almost all there is at reynolds .Did you outrun Ed the owner of the track?He might not let a big old 58 ford back on the property .At least someone other than myself has a big block at reynolds .Sadly I wasnt able to attend me and mrs.bray went to callaway gardens .My car is down right anyway.Maybe I will see you there sometime .Doug
