Having trouble getting a 9" center section out of a housing
Guys,
I have a center section that doesn't want to budge. Axles are out, all bolts out and it will not budge. Almost like it's glued in!
Any ideas to budge it? Can I screw a slide hammer to a pinion bolt hole and give it a good pull?

use a small chisel or flat blade screwdriver to split the diff apart but make sure not to damage the surfaces

Tried that. It's a N case. I even tried grinding a small groove above the top hole on the very to of the housing so the chisel could get a good bite. It still won't budge. I'm thinking about popping it with a slide hammer or putting a come along to it!

make sure someone didnt put the factory copper washers under the nuts, they get pinched around the stud and put a death grip on it.

X2, if the copper washers are still on it they will have to come off first

i had to use a lot of heat around the gasket area to get mine out. hope you didn't use the grey stuff to seal it.

I had to whack it with a big hammer to get it loose. It was just tight around the studs. No copper washers or anything like that.
