Today is a great day!

My crackhead neighbor had filed a $2500 lawsuit against me claiming damages to her car when a storm that came through back in June blew a limb from a tree on my property and fell partially on hers. When I took photos of the tree, her car was nowhere near it. Being a good neighbor I even offered to repair the paint myself and she refused. My attorney had discovered that she was in an accident the year before and never had the car fixed. It was all about trying to squeeze me for some money. To make a long story short, the judge ruled in my favor. I going to have me a beer or two

Great that you won , but bad that you had to take the time and money to fight a lie.

I know how you feel Doug. My neighbor doesn't like me much either. In fact just yesterday he called me a prick and threatened to kick my ass. I asked him "Hey Mike.. Are you mad?"

Usually acts of god are not required to be covered by you Doug. Unless you were knowingly negligent in not trimming that tree.

I don't think her case would've been good even if here car were parked there.

It was worth every penny I paid my attorney to watch him work and mop up the courtroom with her crackhead azz The burden of proof was on her to prove I was negligent, but I had photos of the tree after the storm showing the tree and broken limb in full foliage of green leaves and photos of the crew cutting it down. We even had a screen capture of Doppler Radar showing the severe thunderstorm that went through that night.

Its always great to give it back to someone like that...............hell can't you counter sue for court costs etc? I'd make it a point to be the biggest dick I could be to that bitch in a situation like that.................f-ck people.

There should be a law that makes it hurt when someone files a bogus law suit like that and looses. Stop all the crooked sob's from filing to start with.

X2 nowdays people look for something to sue someone for just like this

Like was said counter sue her attorney cost time off work and all the little stuff you had to go through.

The court system makes it WAAAY too easy for this type of bullshit to take place. Glad the judge had a little common sense.

Glad it all worked out in the end Doug. There is some satisfaction in knowing that justice was served here. I'd bypass the beer, you deserve a refreshing whiskey cocktail of your choice.
