gonna do some work on my 97 f350 4x4 crew cab
i use it to pull my trailer and daily driver
it has a 460 with 190,000 on it
still runs great
i was thinking about a cam kit upgrade
and possibly a chip
or another option is to do a cam
and intake and carb
gas milage is a concern but i dont get any better than my old
truck with a carb
i plan on a set of headers and cam for shure
not going for top hp but would like to pull my 36ft 5th wheel
with out beatin the crap out of it
i am also gonna eather rebuild the e4od that is in it or try to get away with new
shifting silonds
it is shifting funny and the od light flashes on and off but only dose it in the summer
kinda wierd but when it is cold out it works fine

Could your trans problem be a warped valve body or maybe gasket leaking a little? Have a buddy with the same problem, when cold and fluid is thicker, or on the throttle hard, shifts fine. When warmed up good, has shifting problems (slow or hesitated shifting).

you have to be careful about what you do for mods with the EFI. It won't run right unless you can figure out how to get the computer custom tuned. I definately would not do bigger injectors with the stock computer.
