wireless verizon internet?

i am considering getting rid of my land line
i have verizon cell phone and i get great reception in my home
all i use the land line for is internet but it isnt cheap
i live in the sticks and my only other option is satelite
i have heard of ppl useing usb thing and have internet as long as you have cell phone reception
you will have internet
any1 know about this or use it and what is the cost?

A friend of mine brings his LapTop too work and plugs it into his phone and it works great. I think he said it's around $50 per month thru At&t and it will work where ever his phone works.

i have dsl now and sometimes it is ok but most of the time

My sister has verizon wireless internet she has the little reciever that plugs in the usb port her is faster than my dsl is

i have dsl now but did have wild blue,with the dish. just remember that anything with a dish in your yard will go to shit if it rains,like your tv does.lol

when is is raining out side that is when i got time to watch tv but that is when my tv wont work

me too! realy sucks when bad weather comes through,break out the radio for tornado warnings.

don't know what dish you guy's are using but my Star Choice -now Shaw Direct dish always works!! even the old one that I set up at the track so the wife can watch TV !! takes me longer to spool the cable out to the pole and set the dish on the peg that to dial in the satellite , usually have a 70% or better signal with spooling the cable in less that 3 minutes! took me 5 in Mission,BC and that was with driving a peg in the ground for the dish to sit on!!

i think the usb card is kinda spendy and i hope it can be used in my pc at home and lap top

I use the verizon wireless thingy that plugs into the USB port. I travel all over the country and would be lost without it. Make sure you get the one that isn't 4G or you wont be able to get unlimited data. 3G is a fast a my DSL at home

both are about the same as far as signal
i live in a dead zone it is hard for cell phones to work out here
verizon is the only one i found that gets great signal even in my house

i've had direct and dish for tv and both go out when it rains hard.Franks just on top of the world

I have dish 500 it only goes out in a really bad stroms direct you could be thinking of rain and it would go out.

X2 but I got 4 g when it first came out and have the unlimited data plan. The 4 g service is smokin fast when you are in a 4 g service area, it runs right through the middle of Tn. north to south.

$69.00 month I use it everywhere I go. 4G is Way faster than DSL here at home.

We have been using verizon for several years.
The model we have now is the mifi 4510.
It's wireless and you can run up to 5 devices on it at the same time.
Other than some recent weak signal issues,I have been happy with it.
