They Were not on lol, put um on but they were too high and had the same result, lowered um for the first elim run and it rode the bars toward the Centerline and had to lift, cost me the round and the championship, kracker beat me by one round.........oh well.

Running buick vs ford today, made one pas. Motor only plain meth it went 8.70 @ 156.93. will make my elim round later and spray it for 5 secs and hope like hell it leaves straight. We moved the bars down some and tid the front down one more notch, went straight earlier, will see what happens........

finally home, the Fords won with a landslide, I was the 5th qualifier and had the quickest pass during the elimination round............sprayed it for 5 seconds and ran it out the backhalf of the track on motor........8.46 @ 157.88, 7700 trap rpm. The bar adjustments and putting some weight on the rr corner helped a ton, rode the bars a good ways out but was at an acceptable height this time. Ted was having some chassis issues, but considering he stuck the un ran motor in the car and had it running thursday evening and still made friday nights race as well as today's my hats off to him. Had a blast but damn I'm wore out.

Jon I just got back from the race at SGMP man they was some super fast guys there seen the 83 year old man make a pass in the 4's when he let off at the finish line it blew the hood and part of the nose off of it

Just got home...

I had a blast as well. Had some battery and nooby tuning issues. Ted hooked me up with some much bigger jets (left my box at home in the rush to leave). THANKS TED!!! Car was just flat under jetted. During qualifying, it was lazy only picking up 15 mph in the second half of the track. It has done 29 in Amarillo so I knew something was not right. Talked to a buddy and he though it was probably lean and needed more fuel. I increased the jets 4 sizes on the primaries and 5 on the secondaries (to 86/93) and it responded. In eliminations the car went 11.89 @116 with a 1.8 60', so it gained 26mph on the last half, better but may have still needed a bit more. I was paired with a 12.5 sec Buick because my qualifying pass was a 12.59. (before rejetting lol) Of course I got boo'd because people thought I had sandbagged. I tree'd him 2 tenths and he only had a 2.4 sec 60, so I was already waaay gone. I didn't sandbag, I just got my car running better! haha

Not sure, my dad is a video nut, he got this killer HD video camera deal for our storm chasing etc.

Appreciate the compliments guys, I have video from the last pass, the car is still leaving to the right pretty bad so its still not sorted out completely. I have the purge on a damn rocker switch and I guess friday night it was left on after I made my run ...........I turn the bottle off and purge the line right after the pass........(I will put a momentary button it I know)........ anyway as I went through tech sat I noticed it was on...sure enough the noid was smoked. Its funny how out of all the cars there no one has a spare noid....well actually Ted did, but after I got it put on and tried to test it I realized it was a fuel noid.........so no worky. I rigged a temp bang button..............long story short it hits harder with an atmosphere purge, the data logger showed a 300 rpm less flash on the converter.

I'm really satisfied with this motor, its had one oil change and one set of plugs as the only replacement parts all season. Thats been 10 outings with zero issues. I'm replacing the rearend with a better stronger narrower housing, better axles, stronger set of custom ladder bars, send the converter out for a looking over and maybe snug it a couple hundred rpm and get it set up for a 6 pad flywheel. Snake is putting the voodoo on a Mafia intake for me, replacing the rocker arms and studs, look the lifters over etc. I should have no problem with the 5.30 KOV class next year, honestly I'm shocked I did as well as I did considering all the issues I had lol.

had a blast sat. got a top ten quaffer plaque again. that's always cool. thanks for your help richter69. i'll figure out this chassis one of these days. it should have ran a high 20.

i think i did the biggest smokiest burn out i've ever done on that last pass. some of the guys said the crowd was luv it too. when my crew guy Todd was back me up i read his lips saying, i can't see. smoke was just hanging. had an .041 light and spin half way down the track. i kept looking for the gto, never saw him. so i just kept working it, had it side ways one time. come to find out the GTO broke a yoke. still the most fun race of the year.

the longer rocker studs will hold the front end down. Wink
