Buy you a REAL truck. 7.3 PS .Then you could pull just about any trailer.

Lee Haulmart and Wells Cargo are great trailers they are ownwd by the same company, Pace is a great trailer I worked for them over 18 years but parts will be hard to find for them now after they went out business but they may be reopening under a different company not sure yet but will more than likely be next year before we know.

Re: looken for a trailer
i read over on YB that haulmark was a POS,but thats why i asked on here for opinions.i also read some bad reviews on Vintage trailers. i had a ETT trailer, not a high end deal but it did'nt have any problems.69F100 wrote:Lee Haulmart and Wells Cargo are great trailers they are ownwd by the same company, Pace is a great trailer I worked for them over 18 years but parts will be hard to find for them now after they went out business but they may be reopening under a different company not sure yet but will more than likely be next year before we know.

Re: looken for a trailer
Buy one you can look at before you buy. I rented a 24' bumper to move my stuff across Canada. It was nice and light, aluminum sides, v nose all that jazz but little things like jack placement was all wrong. Couldn't crank it fast without busting your knuckles, couldnt pull out or back into a driveway without rubbing the bottom of the jack... Just food for thought

Lee,
You have a great trailer dealer just a few miles south of you. Lance Brannon Trailer sales in Rogersville, Al. About 20 minutes west of Athens. He has a decent inventory and has used trade ins all the time.
http://www.lbtrailers.com/In-Stock-Trailer-Inventory.aspx
I bought my '03 model 28' Vintage from him. I looked at one of the plain base trailers on his lot and he agreed to order me one for the same price plus some options I wanted. Best wiring and lighting package, electric tongue jack, extended ramp flap. Left it with a plain floor and used 2 part garage epoxy paint. My father-in-law and I put the cabinets in ourselves instead of the spendy $$$ premade cabinets.
In hindsight I wish I would have upgraded to 16" wheels/tires and got a spare tire well in the floor. Not for a spare, but to keep rarely used spare parts. Starter, etc.

Re: looken for a trailer
If you would only take one recommendation, I would not buy an enclosed trailer without 16" tires.

Re: looken for a trailer
i've been to his place a few times and got sticker shock.lol.last week i did look at a fair looken vintage aero with l/q's in it.it needed some tlc inside and out,2006 model........$13,900.it "was"a nice trailer but needs some work and the l/q's aint realy on my list of things to have but it'd be ok.i'm not sure how long it was but it looked a little short in the garage area, coulda been a 36' but may been 40',did have 3 axles with aluminum wheels.i may go back to a 24' so i wont have to buy a truck to pull it.David Cole wrote:Lee,

Re: looken for a trailer
If I was looking for a trailor I would watch racing junk closely. There are some really nice deals come up on there from time to time.I bought the black one I have now off there for a song. The only thing wrong with it was the big chevy stickers it has on the side.
