I just don't get it why is everyone running 20/50 it just adds more drag to the rotating assembly Mad if you have good bearing tolerances why not run lighter oil? it is not as hard to turn...

I run the Schaeffer's 20-50, it may be thick but my bearing clearances allow it and as long as the oil sample reports keep coming back like they are its staying in there.............. Very Happy

In the Valvoline line, the best to use for performance is the VV-851 or VV-855 if you want the 20-50w scratch

Me and Harold was on the phone talking and he said another Co. has the old Kendall GT1 (green) Racing oil formula. I think its called John Penn oil Co. I used it years ago and it got hard to find. Gonna get me some Very Happy

http://www.bradpennracing.com/ is the old Kendall oil, made in that same refinery that made the Kendall oil.....the Kendall & Amalie trade names were sold off to a third party when the refinery was sold. Good stuff, particularly their break-in oil.

The old Kendall GT-1 rocked. The Brad Penn fills the bill now. Second verse, same as the first... Wink
