Re: Transmission step-dowels.
Mine plate is a 1/2" mid-plate John. C.S.I., I think is the manufacturer.
FYI mid-plates have the chevy dowel location on the trans side, and BBF Ford on the other. Only problem is the holes in each pattern overlap almost with each other. On my plate the Ford holes are stock dowel size. So the holes for the chevy size are drilled smaller to avoid interferance. Then a dowel that is standard Chevy(.650), and the other end stepped down to .375 I beleive.Sounds complicated, but simple really.
i just conned my neighbor to make a set for me.
Regards.

Got ya. I was just looking at my mid plate from Skinny Kid. It uses a threaded dowel on the Chevy side. That might be another option for you.

Im good now John thanks,
I dont think Skinny Kid can top $50 bucks. He is just down the road from me. Nice stuff, but his prices are from another planet JMO.

Re: Transmission step-dowels.
Probably not. Only reason I got this one is I picked it up off the forum from a guy for about half price.

Haven't put a tape to it but looks like 3/8". Reason I picked them up is the plates are already cut on the waterjet for the Fox body engine offset. It'll save me some aggravation getting the engine installed. Just bolt the plates on and weld the tabs.
