Buffalo hunt
Just got the final word, and I get to go up in north wet Nebraska on Jan.7 to a large ranch and do a little buffalo herd management. A guy up there has a group of renegade bulls and wants them eliminated, and a buddy of mine and I are taking our daughters up to go do some big animal harvesting. I had the old Sharps replica out yesterday checking sights and doing some practicing. Nothing quite as fun for shooting as them big ole buffalo guns.

The other guy is going to use a 338-378 for the backup gun. His daughter and I are the ones who are going to be doing the shooting. Kind of a good feeling to have that for a back up gun. Not sure what his daughter is going to use, maybe a 30-06 or something similar. They are big tough animals, but I've seen them taken with everything down to a 30-30 with great success.

It's looking like the doors may go up after the hunt at the rate we are going now. I don't even know how long it will take for the processing, you may have to stop by this summer for a post install inspection and a steak.
