Wanted: 6 Lug aluminum alloy trailer wheel

One thing I have found is a regulr alum.rim will brake the center out if it is not the heavy duty rim from the force the trailer put on them when turning on the shorter side wall it is to stiff and will brake belts in the tires and pull them off the rim if they are low in air on sharp turns. I have seen all kind of tire trouble form wrong rims to wrong tires on trailers in the last 17 tears working for pace.

One other thing trailer tire are made for trailers they have a softer side wall for cornering to take some of the stress off the bearings and axles.

I would agree on what you say... if your tires are low on air, they will pull them off the rims. Cheaping out using under-rated passenger car tires on a trailer is one big reason people have problems, along with lack of maintenance and checking them over before you take off on a road trip.

Buying a tire that is the correct size and rated for more than you are hauling isn't an issue, except to your wallet.

If you want super heavy duty tires for 15" rims, find a tire store that deals with tires for semi tractors/trailers. There are some G and H rated tires for lowboy equipment trailers that are 15" Low Profile. They aren't much bigger than a 255/70-15. You will never replace them again.

yes them will last but on the car hauler you will beat the crap out of it with them heavy tires not to mention the wear and tare on the axle they would be a overkill for 5200# axles we carry the 17.5 Gs for the heavy duty axles like the 7000#and 8000# axles tire and wheel on the 17.5 weight is around 150# on steel wheels and around 110# on alco alum.

I put 6 new Denman E rated Trailer tires on mine a couple years ago. I really like them.

I'm debating on buying 16" (Spares) with E-rated tires and gradually start swapping them out.

Ok guys I have found some cheaper wheels here is a link that I found the wheels on they have the 15" and 16" 6 lugs we don't carry the 16" 6 lug wheel.

Sorry about that Damon I should have check it after I posted it I copied it from bar on top when I went to the site longroofracer got it right the same place I was looking at last night I was on google they have the cheapest I came across lastnight.You can buy 2 from them almost cheaper than one from pace

16" Modular Wheel 6 on 5.5 for $90 NICE!
