Carb question
I'm in the market for a good 4150 carb for my 528. A fellow recommended his 4150 with dominator metering blocks. Is there more power with that configuration? Are the new Holley aluminum ultra hp carbs any better than the old stuff? Is a custom built carb still a must when a dyno session is planned?

Re: Carb question
I'm sure there are many carburetor specialist you can explain your needs to, but I must say, I have QFT products and they seem to be very good products. Call them, those guys are great to work with.

A regular 2 circuit Dominator metering block is exactly the same as a 4150 metering block except for an increase in hole size for the PVCR and Angle Channel.

Marketing hype? Or is there an advantage?

It all depends upon the engine and getting the fuel curve of what it needs to have for best performance.
Sometimes it would help, sometimes it would hurt and sometimes it wouldn't make any difference.
