Made it home from the seminar
Made it home in the woody trouble free about 9:30.I'm glad my pro-comps didn't break in half or fall apart .Over 9000 miles of hard running on them now.Back on subject.Had a great time and learned a few things to boot. Thanks again to all that made it happen and to Don Bowles for having it at his place.Good to see alot of the bbf family again.

Did you drive a "store bought" vehicle....or one of your own creations?
Hope the trip was fun.

Re: Made it home from the seminar
Glad to hear you arrived home safely Wes. Your mode of transportation just proves you are a true "Gearhead" and have the utmost confidence in your work. May I commend you, and as I said to you at the WTS, you are part responsible for planting the seed of our (BBF enthusiast) winter get together! Next time, take a general anesthesia down to Dave's, gas him and throw him in the trunk, he'll thank you when you arrive at the WTS!
Too I must say it was a pleasure to meet Smitty, Rick and others I have only come to know via telephone or the Internet. Always good to see Blake, Red, and Mark. The speakers were great, well except for Charlie, I'll give him a grade of good! I kept trying to text him during his presentation to speed it up, but he wouldn't read his text! I throughly enjoyed John, Darrin and Lake Speed Jr.. They all present a valuable common sense explanation to information few of us have access to. Thank you gentlemen.
Last but not least, may I thank Donald and Donnie Bowles for hosting the WTS and especially Charlie for doing an excellent job of putting everything together once again!
Thank you all,
Dave.

I have got some pic's to share and will download and post tonight hopefully. It was good seeing and talking to the guy's again. We met some ones in person that we hadn't met. This is the best bunch of guy's/gals that you could be around. All the speakers were outstanding and very thorough . I think Charlie did an outstanding job w/everything. Thanks to Don Bowles for letting us use and see his facility. He always has time to talk ,no matter what he's doing and where he's at. Don IS a Legend in the sport and we are honered to have met him and talked w/him.

Re: Made it home from the seminar
Since 2005 I have probably made more than a dozen trips to Kentucky and no matter what the occasion was, I've always had a great time and a lot of fun. Charlie, you did a great job setting up the Seminar, the guest speakers were great and the lunch from Moonlight Bar-b-Que was excellent, even though I was have withdrawal symptoms from no coffee . Great seeing old friends again and making new ones.

Re: Made it home from the seminar
I had a blast at the Roadhouse and the seminar. It was good to see all my BBF brothers this weekend. Thanks to everyone who worked so hard to put the seminar on.Hopefully we'll have a Big Block Bash this year and we can all meet up again.I will say this,I know that everyone can't make every event that is associated with this forum, but if you ever get the chance to attend one of the 429-460 events, please do.It is a great environment and a great group of guys to talk to,learn from and become friends with. ---RED

Re: Made it home from the seminar
We saw a few flurries around the Illinois/Indiana border about 4:30 or so Friday evening. It was a cold son of a gun outside though. My car has a real good heater, but it also has some air leaks.Had alot of fun this weekend.Allways a good time when we get together.

Re: Made it home from the seminar
My dad and I rolled in the house about 8:45 tonight. We had a blast this weekend. This was the first WTS we attended. Big thanks to Don and donnie Bowles for hosting the event and thanks to Charlie, Phillip, Lem, Jon Kaase, Darrin Morgan, Lake Speed Jr and everyone else that made the WTS possible. I was surprised on how many people turned out for it.

Wes,Very cool ride but the exhaust looks like it might be a little loud!!!You are lucky you weren't in Northeast,Ohio where i'm at you would have seen a lot more then just snow flurries.
Later Mark.

Thanks for the compliments. It's not a show car, but I drive it every chance I get. It's a lot of fun to have a 2880lb car(3200lb with driver )that will run 12.20s and drive on a over 600 mile road trip on 87 octane. It rolled over 35000mi on the trip.

Re: Made it home from the seminar
Hey Wes, it was a blast hanging out with you Fri night. Hope that block made it safe over to Dave. Kinda wish it would have stayed in my truck and came home with me, but it's going to a good home. Gordon and Mike, I had a great time visiting with you guys, and I owe you a meal some time, maybe next seminar, supper is on me. Mike and Doug, as always, a great time hanging out and having a beer with good friends is great way to kill a little time.
