Shorten the advance curve so, the initial ignition timing is more.

Not.the.timing.tryed set.at.8°idle.with.total.of 28°..of.i lock outbthe.dist at 28° at idle.at surges bad.
With.my temp gun pointed.at.the.Headders.at 2500 rpms.temps.are 780°Then gose.off.rhe.scale.at.800°
When i snap.the.throttle.really.fast.it.back fires.oit.the exhast pulled.plugs.look.black?

Put more like 14-16 Idle and 34-36 at 2500 and do you trick with the infra red gun and tell us what the results are

That would be a whole lot closer to right.

IF his temp gun has a scale which has 800 degrees as a maximum; he won't see anything anyway.
For the exhaust to be red the exhaust gas would need to be in the 1450/1600 degree range; the pipe would be way more than 800.

If it is running rich or for some reason the fuel is still burning in the pipes, they will glow red but, it seems you already knew that and were just toying with us all. Wink
