Fuel system Empty Fuel system

Post  D's557BBF February 4th 2012, 11:37 pm

If you could build a really good fuel system, what would it be? or if your current system is the cat's azz already what do you have. I'm starting my fuel system build up and I just want you guys to point me in the right direction.

To the alcohol guys no offense but I just want to run racing fuel until a get a lot of seat hours behind the wheel.

fuel pumps, filters, regulators, lines the works! also I want to run a return style this time around. Might be doing a few car show this summer...

Thanks, D

I sold my MF PS 500 to the kid with the truck, he runs it deadhead and drives it all over the place. Do not run it on alky or it will leak and take the bearing out..............trust me lol.

I runa Magna Fuel 350 pump/filter and reg. It's a return style pump with the return at the pump and it deadheads from there.

I run that same set up on my Mustang. If I were starting from scratch ,I'd really think about a belt drive pump and a by-pass regulator.

I'm using racing gas. My fuel system is a belt driven pump with a BG bypass style regulator. It has performed perfect, without a single issue since 1998.

I post this in any fuel system related thread I come across here or on the other board. Just a good refresher, and some good reading for newbs.

Yep they've never given me a lick of trouble. The regulators have worked well, and literally don't move on the hose.

Magna Fuel 500 Pump / Fliter combo and a Magna fuel 2 port Regulator, -12 to the pump, -10 to the regulator and -8 to the carb. Over kill but I have no issues what so ever.
