lift kit, diesel vs, 460
Got an opprotunity to buy a Rough Country 4" for my truck. It was a diesel lift, which I understand uses thicker leaves to compensate for the weight. So, how bad will my 460 crew cab ride if I buy this thing? I had a Rough Country 4" gas on my 460 reg cab F250 (Dana swap), and I liked the ride.
Thanks!
Pete

I would venture a guess that it will be a little harsher ride on the front, but it will be dampened somewhat by the extra weight of the C/C and the extra wheelbase. I'd go for it and see, if nothing else, a shock swap to some adjustable shocks would help.

Thanks! Yeah, I thought the weight and wheelbase of the CC will help crush those diesel springs.

Years ago when I got my lift system 6", I was told by SkyJacker that they used the same springs for both. I am most likely going to put a strieght axle in mine for the extra 2"s of lift.
