dave there will be a box class if we have enough cars i talked to uncle charlie awhile back and decided we will have one. I hope i have someone to race in my class but i will run the poweradder if not i am nnot scared.

When the car count is real low at the beginning and end of the year around here, the strips run the "Delay Box" cars with the "No Box" cars and allow the "No box" cars a .05 cushion on their breakout.
You'd be surprised at how many of the "Box" cars STILL don't disable 'em.
Must be ... they can't drive without it.

Byron was a strict "No Box" for many years but in order to get some big series in they dropped that a few years ago. I personally think delay boxes and throttle stops are legalized cheating, and I was beat many times bracket racing by some A-hole stomping on his brakes to stay in his dial-in which should also be illegal. The last thing is a big reason I decided to stop bracket racing and run heads up. I will be index class racing which some consider as a form of bracket racing.

Open Comp class could be a viable option

Up here it is called Super Pro, dragsters and door cars running delay boxes and/or throttle stops will run in this class. For those that have delay boxes but wish to run any of the heads up classes the box must be zeroed out and a piece of masking tape covering the display.

Rich has suggested and I like the idea that if we have enough time at the end of the day that the fastest door car and fastest dragster race or maybe a quick 8 deal.

Last year there was not one single entry in the class and I was not gonna have it this year but I got a few phone calls and some messages and decided that we will have it this year.

Chris was planning on sending Jegs Summit and Ford some sponsorship requests so I am gonna talk with him this weekend and find out where we are at with that.
