1968 427 marine engines
Hi I have 2 429 marine engines from 1969 in good condition and with low hours. Does anyone know if these engines are worth anything? I live in michigan and if anyone can help or would like to make an offer please respond to post or give me a call at 810-459-1123.
Thanks,

The only part really worth anything to car guys are the blocks, and the value depends a lot on the service the where in and if the had heat exchangers or not.
They will have some value to the right boat guys, chriscraft guys mainly.
You haven't hit a jack pot..... But they are worth more than scrap as long as they are serviceable.

427 blocks are worth money if usuable. Even with the new stuff out now a days a 427 block can fetch a grand or more all depending. A lot of the marine stuff is the side oiler casting, but machined as a top oiler with part of the side oiler features machined away for engine mount clearance.
Some marine blocks lack the cross bolted mains. If it has cross bolted mains value goes up, if it is a side oiler value goes up. If it is std. bore or not more than .020" over value goes up. Another issue is many of these old blocks crack in the main webbing when run hard, so good idea get it checked.
Cranks, if it is forged it is worth some money, many boats had cast cranks. Only way to know is to check. Heads depends on what casting they are.

Do you perchance have the front engine mounts for these engines?
