Congrats to Jerry Jordan & his 2003 Mustang

for qualifying at Belle Rose this weekend, in Top Sportsman at the big NHRA event. Jerry ran a 7.375 at 186.9 mph with his new 632 CID Ford built by Oakley Motorsports. That was an "all motor" pass and Jerry didn't get in until the last session because he was blowing the tires off and had to detune his engine. They say the track is not very good. Cap'n Jack Austin and I took that engine down to Jerry's home of Longview TX last fall and got to visit with him. Jerry's a "good guy" and dedicated Ford racer.
