Power steering pump
I bought the brackets from CVF racing that require the pear shaped saginaw pump. Is this pump any better than the standard? Is there a conversion fitting to adapt my pressure hose to the new pump?

Re: Power steering pump
This is a common question when upgrading to a Saginaw P-Series power steering pump.
The easiest way, is to purchase:
a 1/2"-20 inverted flare/-6 JIC adapter (steering box pressure port)
a -6 JIC power steering pump fitting (some are one-piece with flow control orifice)
a short length of -6 hose (stainless steel braided or hydraulic hose)
one 90° -6 JIC hose end fitting (pump side)
one straight -6 JIC hose end fitting (box side)
Then simply assemble the proper length hose at home and install with fittings.
