HEAD STUDS
Can i use studs from dove-c heads on my new SCJ-6049 Heads?,rockers and head studs,THANKS,MAVMAN

Most likely your rocker studs will be too short. The underhead length on a lot of older stuff was 1.750". Your SCJ heads need at least 1.900" underhead length for the rocker studs.
As for the head studs, the top row of studs will work okay. The bottom row needs to be a little bit taller on the SCJ heads, as compared to the DOVE-C heads. You can maybe make the bottom row work okay by just not screwing them into the block all the way. It's less than ideal, but...

I found the normal length studs too short on the outer row on the heads . The Blue Thunder studs work sweet 255-4301 are 3/8" longer for 6.5" total where the stock length is 6-1/8"
