Tommy Taylor New to the site.
So I have been researching this for a bit. I have a 63.5 Galaxie 500 2 door I want to run 5.2 in the 1/8th. I have the 4.5 stroker crank, A460 heads by John Kaase. Have the cam, pistons, rods. Could use some help on the top end and oil pan, valve covers.
Need to just spend the money and do this right the first time.
Think if I can get the car down to 2900 pounds I can pull this off.
I have been reading posts on here for a few months, great site, tons of knowledge on here.

Parts
Yea it is in pretty good shape for sitting out in a field for 20 years.
If anyone needs parts in the Dallas area I will have a ton of stuff comming off of this thing. Plan on getting all fibergalss front end and doors. This car has a 390 in it that turns over and I don't need the frame or suspension, windows, interior. All I plan on keeping is the body, the dash and wheel, and the rearend. Just becuse its a spare Ford 9".
I guess as I start to rip it apart I will post these things on a different forum.

Yea my shop got broken into last night and they took my tools, plasma cutter and welder. So that will slow down my progress a bit anyway.
Car is in pretty nice shape though.
Thanks

Man, that truly SUCKS Tommy!!! I hate it when I hear about this kind of stuff. That's why I moved out where I'm at. But now with all the new subdividing going on here, that's what I dread the most, is not if but when someone will try or succeed to break in to my shop. If they do, they better make sure I'm not home, because the law will have an easy time finding them if I am home. A friend of mine has a sign at his house that says: If you are found here at night, you "will" be found here in the morning...
I hate a thief, and they shall be dealt with appropriately if caught on my property!!

Thanks. I just got to think they must have needed it worse than I do. Insurance deductable is like 2k so not even sure I will turn it in. Guess it's time to put up cameras. The alarm did keep them out of the house though. Have to start over on the shop. At least they left my BBF 460A alone.
It is on the engine stand. Heads on the self. So i did get lucky on that point.
