I've run them in the past at 13-14:1, Better to get MLS stuff once you get above that or are spraying.

Fel-pro 1028 Empty more on head gaskets

Post  blown473 May 27th 2012, 1:04 am

I now use the "ICS Titan" copper with embossing head gaskets. You don't have to O-ring, and they are indestructible. No water leaks common to plain copper like Milodon's. With these you can spray or boost as much as you want, or run very high Cr's .

I'm not a big fan of copper in sportsman, long running stuff.

Most "copper companies" will make ($) a gasket of your choosing.

I don't know their ceiling however, A customer is making almost 1,200 horsepower using 18 pounds of boost with a 12-71 supercharged, 528 inch drag boat engine.

You can get pretty much any thickness & bore size from ICS Titan, and the cost is in the same range as the MLS gaskets.

A friend a mine who builds a lot of bracket race engines ( mostly BBC) and runs the premium felpros at 15:1 in several engines with excellent results. I see no reason the bbf won't do fine at 14:1 with them assuming proper assembly and tune. I've personally run them at 13.5:1 with no problems on pulling trucks but I am no expert.
