Chasis Cert
Went to Mason Dixon today and as usual was in the 135mph+ range on all runs. Tech guy asks the wife if my chassis is cert'd and she says " what's a chassis ? " LOL So the next time I pull up in the staging lanes he comes up and asks me ( all the time he's cool as all get out about it )
So now I'm looking to get the chassis cert'd.
I'm already certifiable

It's a good thing to know it's a safe chassis.135 MPH is plenty fast enough to get hurt if your cage isn't up to standards.

Fast enough to get you killed more like it. Wife saw the Hans devices and is getting me one since I have a messed up neck already.
Guess she wants me around a little while longer
Can't blame her

I plan on it Barney. That's the one thing the wife doesn't care about me spending money on is safety.......spend, spend, spend.
Most of my gear I wear is good down to 7.50 or better. You just never know what will happen or who will line up next to you. It drives me nuts to see drivers get into cars wearing shorts and tennis shoes and the track letting them run.

Re: Chasis Cert
Safety is always a individual choice. I never understood guys that would spend thousands on going fast, but would scoff at even the most reasonably priced safety piece. It's a head scratcher for sure.John Myrick wrote:Barney wrote:Just be safe. There's not a whole lot worth getting busted up or worse over.
