8.8 gear torque specs???
Doin my gear swap myself for the first time. Need torque specs for pinion nut, ring gear and whatever u call the c shaped pieces that hold the spool in.
This IS my first time! So be easy on me. Lol !!

I torque the ring gear to 75 ft lb (with loctite) and the caps to 75 also. There's no torque spec for the pinion nut itself but there is for the pre-load on the bearing. Spec calls for 8-14 in lb(old bearing) and 16-29 (new bearing). I set mine by feel, after you do a few sets you'll get the hang of it.
How are you checking pinion depth?? I highly recommend making a set-up bearing to quickly and easily change pinion shims if need be.

I'm using the old pinion bearing. Planned to just used the same shims all the way around and see what I get.
