Is crank trigger better than regular msd dizzy? If so why? what are the advantages or disadvantage of the crank trigger deal? thx.

People tend to think CTs are more accurate since they are directly on the crank.
A convential Dizzy should be just as acurate if all the drives/etc are up to snuff.
Rick told me of a injected alcohol motor at the bash this summer and it had the good ole Duraspark on it. So I think speaks volumes for the dizzy. JMHO.

ct is more stable, i doubt you would see a diff in the two on a dyno.

Well, all you guys must be using some awfully low horsepower engines for your examples, as on dyno test after dyno test a crank trigger system has shown to NEVER produce less flywheel horsepower than a distributor triggered ignition system. Sometimes it is only a few and sometimes it is a lot but, it is never worse.

crank trig's DO NOT PROMOTE SPARK jump(scatter) and less vib in the dist is always good,and are more dead on, no lash between cam,and dist gear
