Thanks to Blake and Bruno

I want to say thanks to Blake and Bruno for all the hard work in putting this on, and to Andy for having us.I had a great time despite the heat.Made around 30 passes in the old black truck .My two friends Doug and Jason had a great time also, and said they would definitely come back.It was great seeing everybody again.For the people that didn't make it you missed a great time.We had a pretty good crowd this year, but it sure would be nice to see more people support these races.If I didn't race all year, this makes it all worth while.It's what racing should be about,having fun around great people,not about how much the payout is.There's no amount of money that can replace memories.Thanks again to all, and I hope everyone had/s a safe ride home.

I don't know who told him that, but the only think that was by invite only was the quick or fast 16. All the rest of the event was open to anyone with a all ford car or truck.

This was an open to all ford deal by to different groups, we would have been happy to hAve you, but the quick 16 was invitational deal only and already set in stone before the race.

I apologize if someone told him that. We will do this again next year and will be glad to have you and your friend.

Do you want to explain that a little further? Specifically which promoter? The Quick 16 was an invitational deal and understandably so. However, he was free to enter SuperPro where there were other tube chassis cars and dragsters.

Furthermore, which car was it? I saw a nice late model Mustang door car that was in the trailer and I wondered why? Next question, did the car in question have a Chevy engine, or was it a Ford engine?

you are correct , when you walked up to me at the track thats what was said , im sure they refunded your 100 at the gate ...... you should have put those 4.80's on the board ........ just sayin

Thanks Blake and Nick! I met a few new people, but I still missed a few. I will try harder next time to meet everyone. I hope this continues year after year. Maybe one of these years my POS junk truck will run....

The "SHOOTOUT" was invitation only; the Big Block Ford event and racing was certainly not.
ANY Ford enthusiast was welcome.

Trying to get 16 pretty equal cars for a "heads-Up" SHOOTOUT was part of the reasoning for the "invitation only". As I remember, they had 15 on the premises and were looking to find a pretty equal car to get 16.
