I'm interested in the Kinsler setup but I'm new to the BBF. Can you explain the "C" heads, and how are they different from stock? I currently have a 1970 429 that I'll be installing into my project '68 Mustang.

Thanks, Clint

The C-460 heads are from Ford Racing. Somewhat based on the early Pro Stock style heads, they require a special shaft mounted rocker arm.

What diameter cam is the short block set up for? Is it set up for 60mm and if it is, does it have the roller cam bearings or the babbit cam bearings. Also what diameter lifter is the block set up for? Is the block and RDI or Carroll Carter? Also what brand is the crank? Thanks for your help and have a great day!

Block is an A96, 10.3" deck height block. Standard cam and lifters bores with roller cam bearings. We purchased the block from Philip Oakley a few years back.

Okay, so will the manifold bolt to stock heads?

Yes, the C460 heads are the only thing we still have. Call for more details, if you're interested. Thanks!

Curly I am sorry for doing this but, Blue Blood these heads will not work on your stock block I think the smallest bore they Recommend is 4.600 and these are not heads for the faint of heart. if you want fuel injection get a hold of Kinsler and they will set you up. These Parts are not for the owner that want to put a 429 in his 68 mustang and drive it around....These are full Boogie race parts....and beside you would have to do major surgery to your mustang to even get this stuff to fit under the hood....everything will be custom......
