Think this old pickup is worth the asking price?
Tell me if you guys think this truck is worth it.
I've been wanting an old beater pickup to slum around in for some time now. I think this fits the bill. Going to try and go look at it tomorrow or early next week.

We'll see. It runs and drives. If it doesn't have any rust holes in it I may have to take it home...
I think a good cleaning and a coat of wax to seal up the rust and it'll look nice and weathered for years to come!

Dang, $2k is quite a bit IMHO, but if it runs and drives good, and is what you are looking for, it could be a bargain.

It depends how bad you need or want it. I would say that truck would bring no more than $1500 up here in IL.

Hell, I thought the 6.7 was the greatest thing since sliced bread the way everyone talked about it.

Due to TRW's hardening process of the Exhaust valves (and yes it has been corrected)
Does not make the 6.7L a POS!
From the day the 6.7L came out our Diesel warranty has been lower than our gas engines.!
Back to the old truck...
John,
How tall are you?
My 72 was hard for me to drive and I'm 6'2".. I think youre 6'4" or 6'6" are you not?
Leg room will be a big issue and with it being a standard... You might not like it...?

I looked at it yesterday. And Adam you're right, with that big steering wheel it's a tight fit. I'm 6'7". Truck was OK. It had a little more rust than I wanted on the bedsides where the upper and lower panels meet. All of the original caulk had fallen out and the rust was set in pretty well. Other than that it was in good shape. I'd offer $1500 if I plan to get it. Didn't hear it run or get to drive it. the guy wasn't home. doors opened and closed fine, not rust on the bottoms. Gas tank was tight too. No fumes in the cab.
I also found a 66 F250 I'm going to look at next week.

what pisses me off about it is knowing how bad I'll take it in the ass on the time.................warrantry times on these is the worst I've ever seen.
And they still have not learned it dont take a pound of loctite to hold the damn cab bolts in...............
They are awesome until they break, but when they do they do it well...........Tell ya what come on down and you can pull this pile apart and stick a new bullet in it and I'll go back to fixing the 6.0/6.4 and make some real money................
