This is a poem written by actor Jimmy Stewart and read on the "original" Tonight Show with Johnny Carson... It's quite moving...

proof positive they don't make them like they used to.

I used to watch Johnny Carson every night when I was a kid and my dad would let me stay up late enough. Later in high school (81-85) I watched Johnny every night he was on.
