if these are your tires they are the ST on the front of the size means it is a trailer tire, they have reinforced sidewalls and are built for the extra flex like on trailers...

Re: Enclosed trailers
looks to me like the tread blew out no the sidewall..............
I've had good luck with the Maxxis tires, I went from a 8 to a 10 ply right before the TN trip, never had an issue.
Be sure you change the valve stems at the same time......I also replace the trailer tires ever 3 years no matter what.

Re: Enclosed trailers
I went to 16 inch tires on mine E rated and 8 inch wide. I changed to aluminum rims wit the correct back spacing to get the bigger tire and wheel in the wheel well.
So far so good. I bought them from a place called deals on wheels, said he could beat or match anybody's price and sent them to me mounted and balanced. Great guy to deal with.

Re: Enclosed trailers
Going to look at this one, and if it checks out, I'll bring it home.

Re: Enclosed trailers
I was hoping it met with the approval of the Snake-a-mungous. I just hope it looks as good in person as it does in the pics. I will have to add the crapper, shower, and sink and all of the tanks, but after talking to a camper outfit, it doesn't sound like that big of a deal, and not really that much $$ to add it, compared to a fully outfitted LQ trailer.

That's how you make $500 trailer look like a $10,000 one

Rob if you waa closer to me we could convert it to a LQ in no time did that kind of work for 19.years main thing make surw you keep it leveled good when you start adding to on the inside so you dont go down the road with a wrap trailer

Re: Enclosed trailers
Nice talking to you too Jim. We'll be talking more after I get the trailer and have some time to start adding the LQ to it. Glad to have a pro in my corner on this.

Re: Enclosed trailers
I had a 2004 24'....the first 2-300 miles sucked, every time I came home from racing 3-6 screws that held the outside metal on were sheared off...after about the 300th mile and 30 screws, then it just stopped doing it. I bought the trailer new and the dealer was replacing the screws at no charge and had no reason why it was doing it, then I asked for a baggy full of replacements so I didnt have to go back. Then I decided to make cabinets and finish off the inside with fiberglass sheets, that when i found the trailer was about as square as a donut...used it for the next 3 years pretty much trouble free, then traded it in for what i have now...08 Royal Cargo 28ft screwless made to my specs....its been nice....hope this helpsdfree383 wrote:Anybody have any opinions on cargomate trailers? I've had issues with my current trailer and screws too...... This one I'm looking at is one with the screwless exterior.
