Would a Holley 3310 work on a factory intake?

Yes it will... What is your intended use...? From the sounds of it, you're just building a pretty much stocker/driver...? The 3310 will work, and you really don't "need" the heat riser in the intake AS I "don't" believe the new carb will come with the attachment or not... I could be mistaken though... I have always just capped them off and haven't had an issue... But as far as fitment, it will work... And I wouldn't put less than a 750 on it...

the stock intakes I have are a spreadbore style.

Wont you need a spacer so the front butterflys will clear the smaller intake bores?

Doug... Cool

Just a driver. And faced with the school situation with my brother.(driving my Ranger). Wishing I had not tossed all the factory 460 stuff I had. Embarassed

This build went from a performance goal to...just run it...in a few hrs.

I asked about the heat riser because I have a Motorcraft 4350 laying on the bench, but then looked into using the Holley. Doug, are you saying I could cap off that little tube on the carb and it not be a issue? If I ran the 4350, and a stock intake thats about $400 less I have to come up with.

I think he is talking about the tube for the choke on your 4350. By the way, there are three versions of that intake. Square bore Holley (SCJ), spread bore quadrajet (CJ), and spread bore 4350 (PI).
